A great time was had by all, and as part of the event, we gathered items for a food shelf and socks to donate to Listening House, a homeless drop-in center in St. We resurrected our club’s Holiday Party in early December. And we will be hitting the dance floor at the Wabasha Caves Swing Dancing Night in January! The club holiday party is back We explored several new venues, including Lake Monster Brewing, The Lab, and Bent Brewstillery. Speaking of movies, our club got fired up for the upcoming ski season (now definitely upon us) by attending the latest Warren Miller movie, Timeless, at the State Theatre in Minneapolis at the end of October.

This year’s event was called “The Judgement of Woodbury” in honor of a famous international wine competition in 1976 (and a subsequent movie called Bottle Shock based on “The Judgement of Paris”) in which a Napa Valley winery shocked the world and defeated the long-reigning French wineries. We also had a lot of delicious food! The second wine tasting event occurred early in November and has been a tradition for years. The first event ( aptly named Fall Fest) occurred in mid-October and was a highly educational event in which the attendees were asked to describe the sight, smell, and taste of each sampled wine. The 3M Club wine tasting events were also educational Now members of #M are looking forward to a winter of fun activities on the slope. The club held two wine tasting events this fall – true to the “social” part of our club name. Apres Ski Meetup 4:30pm: We’ll meet back at Milly Chalet for an hour of sharing stories and building friendships at 4:30pm.ĭon’t miss out on the live updates we’ll be posting on our Instagram stories.Afternoon Advanced Meetup 1:30pm: Meet us at the base of Great Western Express for some steeps, bumps, and powder (fingers crossed!) at 1:30pm.Buy lunch or pack your own! W e’ll enjoy some time eating and getting to know one another. Lunch Meetup 11:40am: Meet us upstairs at Alpine Rose in the main lodge at 11:40am.We plan on burning some laps on that chair from 9:20am to 11:30am.
We’ll be there and look forward to meeting you before loading the chair at 9:20am and skiing some blue groomers together. Morning Mellow Meetup 9am: Meet us at the bottom of Crest Express at 9am.During the day, we’ve scheduled four potential meetup opportunities: Hints and clues will be given on our Instagram throughout the morning. Keep your eyes open as The Big Ski Family will have hidden special little treasures on the mountain for you to discover. Family Ski Days are really just a meetup on the mountain with anyone that would like to experience skiing with The Big Ski Family.
